Biography

“Moloko Knives, f*cking brilliant” – Steve Evets. Just one of many things that were said early in 2012 at Night and Day Café in Manchester about the band from Farnworth/Kearsley in Bolton, Lancashire. The band, consisting of Aleister Staley at the Drums, Phil Parky handling the Bass, Paul Brittell on Lead Guitar, George Foster with the Rhythm and David Greenhalgh as the Lead Singer are not what you might expect from today’s techno mixed, auto-tuned fuelled music world, these lads keep it simple. To try and raise their profile the lads appeared in a short film called “Bag It” written and directed by Stella Grundy, they also worked on and recorded one of their songs called “Music in the Soul” at Blueprint Studios, home of one of their influences, Elbow. The band are also influenced by bands such as Arctic Monkeys, The Beatles, The Libertines, Velvet Underground, the list could go on. You could say they started the band because they wanted to emulate these people, but ultimately it was a love of making music and wanting to do something different that brought these 5 friends together
