Biography
D-EDGE is a musical project created by the Italian cellist/singer and songwriter Stefano Matteucci, who after graduation in cello at the Conservatory begun to write instrumentals and songs in which he sings and plays cello at the same time. He had a few bands in Rome and Milan where he was finalist at Roma Music Festival and Marte Live Festival, he also recorded live for a music television program called Talenz. But it's in London, with the fortunate encounter with the Hungarian pianist Boglarka Gerstner that D-EDGE gets his shape... Today D-EDGE is an original and unique mixture between Classical music, Pop, Rock progressive, Minimalistic and Gothic and can be described as Alternative Rock. The sound is mainly classical as cello and piano are prominent, but the style blends the above genres creating an extraordinary and colourful musical puzzle. The cello is either with clean or distorted sound (like an electric guitar) according to the song. The songs are various and will make you pass from experiencing the deepest emotion to dance on the beat!
